Current case: Rebuilding infrastructure and internal services
Since 2024, in my current role I own the operational IT and am fundamentally developing a grown infrastructure further. Conception, technology selection, implementation, migration, documentation and rollout are my responsibility.

- Built and continuously developed central IT structures
- Set up a production Proxmox VE system as successor to the previous VMware environment
- Built and tested LXC-based services in my own lab
- Documented rollout of a self-hosted Immich service for first internal user groups
Currently in progress
- Migrating proven LXC services into the production Proxmox system
- Building a central identity and SSO structure
- Introducing further internal services on a maintainable open-source basis
The case shows how I work: I develop a target picture, validate solutions in practice, document decisions and bring working systems into production in a controlled way.
Software & Agentic Engineering
Beyond infrastructure, I also build custom software. My development projects include Ghost theme development and the integration of a Three.js-based 3D viewer. I am currently also working on connecting existing identity structures and self-hosted services through a central SSO solution.
I use agentic engineering as a controlled development approach to accelerate research, prototyping and implementation. Architecture decisions, review, documentation and responsibility stay with me.

C-level perspective. Hands-on delivery.
Before my current role, I held responsibility for technology, digital products and creative development as CTO, CDO and co-founder of weltfern. My scope ranged from software architecture and DevOps to WebGL platforms and the development and launch of XR products.
I have worked on digital projects for companies such as Adidas, Volkswagen, Viessmann and Thyssenkrupp. Since 2015 I have also conceived, prototyped, designed and released XR products including VIREED MED, VR-Insight, augmentable and Assemble!.
This experience shapes how I look at technology projects today: I think in goals, dependencies, usage, operations and responsibility — and can go hands-on into implementation at the same time.
Technology has to reach people
My design background helps me see technical solutions through more than the lens of systems. A working solution only creates value when people understand it, accept it and can rely on it.
That is why clear communication, documentation and controlled rollout are part of my technical work. I translate between executive leadership, specialist departments and technology — without letting go of the implementation.
